Featured: Vintage Glamour Editorial Shoot

I am so excited to FINALLY share the incredible styled shoot we designed last year at Roia Restaurant in New Haven!  If you haven't been to Roia, I recommend you pay them a visit ASAP.  Although the restaurant is still relatively new in the New Haven area, the venue itself has a rich history going back to the early 1900's.  In its heyday, the Taft Building (home to Roia and once home to former President Taft) was an early example of American High Society.  Guests to the hotel and neighboring restaurant included such stars as Humphrey Bogart, Katherine Hephurn, Rogers and Hammerstein, Spencer Tracey, the Marx Brothers, and countless other members of Broadway elite and Hollywood royalty.  When gathering inspiration for this shoot, I wanted to capture the rich history of the building, while complimenting Roia's roots in French and Italian tradition through displays of old world opulence.  Thus, Vintage Glamour was born and perfectly executed through the contributions of the best vendor team a planner could ever ask for!

Enjoy friends!

The drapery and lighting provided by our friends over at at Shindig Lighting created the most perfect and dramatic entrance to our table.  The unbelievable florals for the day were provided by Fleur de Lys, and when that massive 6 foot centerpiece was assembled, everyone just stopped and looked up in awe.  The use of gold flatware and china provided by Borrowed, A Vintage Inspired Company provided the perfect pop of elegance against the luxurious crinkled plum linen provided by BBJ.  Our custom menus created by Roseville Designs added the perfect touch of refinement to round out our place settings.

Lovely Cakes did a phenomenal job and provided this gorgeousness.  Still obsessed with this cake and its details!

Our beautiful models were a Brooke Allison Real Wedding couple as well!  Our bride was styled by Everthine Bridal Boutique with Hair and Make Up provided by Larissa Lake.  How amazing is that beaded and silk chiffon Jenny Packham gown?!?!
