Wedding Trend Tuesday - The Mismatched Maids

This past weekend, I was asked to join one of my brides on a little shopping excursion in search of the perfect bridesmaids dress.   I was honored by the invite, and even more excited to attend an afternoon with five fantastic women who have an impeccable sense of style.  After two appointments, several glasses of champagne, and a lot of laughs, it seemed only right to dedicate this weeks post to those lovely ladies who stand by the bride through it all … the bridesmaids.

One of the more popular trends in bridal fashion today continues to be the mismatched bridesmaid look.  This trend’s success and lasting power is the direct result of the consideration and individuality it affords to each of the bridesmaids. Whether achieved by selecting various dress styles and colors, or by incorporating subtle differences in accessories and flowers, allowing your bridesmaids to inject their own personal style into the look will help ensure their comfort, your happiness, and some great photo opportunities.  Below are some of the mismatched looks we love.  Remember though ... it is your interpretation that will make this look unique, so be as creative as you'd like and feel free to share your style.

Happy planning!

*Helpful Tip - The best way to ensure success with this look is to keep at least one aspect consistent for all your bridesmaids (i.e. dress length, color, material, etc.)
